And something out of originally Prodigy but…proper prodigized and ’92 inspired buzzin!
It’s a story of what happens when two guys, who have never met before, but doing a collab, fed up with excitement as well as sharing the same passion for Hardcore Rave music.
The Oldskool crew does know about Xenophobia, from their anthemic “Rush In The House” released in 1992 and went to #20 at National Dance Top 100 Charts. A Hardcore Rave act which was supported by Mixmag, Carl Cox, Nicky Blackmarket, Spiral Tribe and many pirate stations back then, have returned this year with a huge double album called “BRING ON THE RUSH” (available on Vinyl/CD/Digital) including unreleased oldskool material plus remastered oldies! So few months ago I made a special showcase dedicated to their return, including a blend of all tracks from the album as well as an eclusive interview with Xenophobia frontman, main brain and good friend Sid Truelove, who has also put a smashing guest mix of Nu and Old vibes of the act and himself! Worth to mention that Sid can be easily described as a true Punk Raver as he’s been into his punk band, Rubella Ballet since 1979 while started Xenophobia on late 80’s.
The buzz wasn’t gone between both of us so, some days ago we’ve unleashed a collab tune titled “Glow To The Rush“, which is a good result of our Hardcore Rave excitement, full on insomnia along with total appreciation and support (mainly) to each other! Sid on the production/mixing/video duties and myself on lyrics/vox part.
This tune is a ’92 inspired revolutionary Hardcore Rave ‘prodigized’ 144 bpm vibe, featured on the brand new “GLOW TO THE RUSH EP”.
The EP is available on Free Download/Donation (Link HERE) and includes the Radio Version & Original Mix of “Glow To The Rush” plus 2 rare and previously unreleased tracks by Xenophobia featuring MC Skallywag and Zillah Minx, that didn’t make it on “BRING ON THE RUSH” LP.
The response is already massive from fans & friends and many established people in the nu Hardcore scene so I would like to thank a lot each and everyone for the love and support!
Bigup also to Tariq Ziyad who has put a cool write up on Free Breaks Blog (LINK) and to BreakbeatScientist, who reviewed the release on Strictly Nuskool Blog (LINK).
Finally I have to mention that there is also a stunning video created for this vibe, where you can watch it to the following link on Youtube.
