Cut 2 Kill – Liam Howlett

Tagged: , , , , ,

Well. Many of you might not know. Before Liam formed The Prodigy, he was part of a hip hop group called Cut 2 Kill.

Listen To The Basstone was Liam Howlett’s very first appearance on vinyl, as part of Cut 2 Kill. This was the only record Liam produced with Cut 2 Kill and is credited on the centre label. This includes two mixes of listen to the basstone + the track talkin facts. Liam decided to leave Cut 2 Kill when they nearly got into a shooting during a gig at a bar.

I have included a picture of Liam from Cut 2 Kill and the track Listen To The Basstone.

“Liam decided to leave Cut 2 Kill when they nearly got into a shooting during a gig at a bar. ” not sure thats true?
I was recording at the same ‘local’ studio and Tam Tam (sony) dropped Cut2kill and left Liam and Dave (? can never remeber his name even after spending time in the studio with him) high and dry to pick up the studio costs they had incurred recording an album at Chas’ studio in Braintree, it all got a bit sour so they went seperate ways.
