Sure thing is that we’d all need some days to recover on our minds, bodies & souls after that damage! Well.. Seems hard to me to express in words what happened on yesterday’s amazing Prodigy gig on their return in Athens after 3 years! It definetely came on the right time, as we’ve been running a very weird week in Greece due to political & financial issues. All people responded more than positive and got quickly into the hype of the best live band of our planet! Good also to see many young kids around me, which looks promising! Nevermind, let’s get into the gig now! Before the gig, while i was checking the latest setlists from the others, was thinking that a track like ‘Breathe‘ wouldnt be appropriate to begin with, tho it was the big buzz needed to wakeup all Rockwave Festival fans and gather them to njoy the headliners of the Festival. About the new stuff, the boys have played 8 tracks from TDIME Album and all of them were like ultimate bombs! If I had to choose my fav ones, would pick ‘Nasty‘ – ‘TDIME‘ – ‘Wild Frontier‘ and of course the ‘must track to hear’ was the full version of ‘Medicine‘, which used to be dropped only for few minutes, just before SMBU on other gigs. I took it like a gift from the band to Greeks due to its Balkan rhythms! Sick beat drops and proper firing banger! A good surprise was ‘Rise of The Eagles‘ which was played also on Polish gig a day before and came again like the first track of their encore. That’s maybe my personal less fav track from all played from TDIME era.
Regarding any oldskool tune, there was none of them included as this new setlist goes more rockin’ & firing to the new Prodigy direction!
When the local time came around 00:40 and ‘TMTTH‘ has ended, all Greek crowd wanted more and more but unfortunately it was all over after almost 80 minutes of total mayhem and blinding moments! The boys left the stage showing respect to Greek Warriors and the only thing we can hope now, is a new date asap. Any gig is unique and every time feels like its the first one!
Thank you once again guys for this great live experience! Greece loves you!
