“The problems came back in 2012. I had recorded a fair bit of it but I wasn’t really feeling it. I just had this instinct that they weren’t quite right, as I wasn’t really excited about any of them.”
“One morning, I woke up and threw them all in the bin. I told the guys that we were starting again and Keith wasn’t happy about it at all.”
“Me and Keith’s friendship gets in the way of working a lot. The frustrations that creep in wouldn’t be an issue if we weren’t such good friends, it would be easier if we just worked together, so that got in the way. But the good thing is as soon as the album was done, our friendship was restored. We’re like brothers so it never fazes us, no matter what happens.”
“I got in touch with Chuck D and asked if they’d be up for touring with us, never imagining they’d say yes.”
