The Prodigy have discussed the possibility of their retirement for the first time, admitting that the band is “gonna come to an end at some point”. In this months NME issue.

Here are my thoughts from the forum:
I think we may have brought up this subject on here before and we’ve talked about it. However, this is the first time ever that the band have brought it up.
To me, it’s not all that surprising that it has come up. Ultimately, they cannot go on forever. My guess, after they’ve toured this record. We’ve talked about this being their last record…
They say the people will decide, well… we want them forever. This won’t happen.
Question really is, how long can the boys last on stage? How long can they keep it going? The live show.
Other bands maybe have guitars n’ all. However The Prodigy are all over the stage. Can’t see them doing that at 60…. So yeah. They boys will decide when they’ll put an end to it in my opinion. They’ll have a plan in mind.
Keith will go on with TTC. Maxim will DJ or paintings. Liam will keep The Prodigy name alive or do releases under his name. Also keep the label alive…
