Youtube is set to remove music videos from tons of high profile artists, such as The xx, Adele, Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Goldfrapp, The Prodigy, M.I.A. and Grimes following the refusal of their indie record labels to sign up to the new terms of the site. Youtube will start blocking videos “in a matter of days” to ensure that all the content complies with its new contractual terms, according to Robert Kyncl, YouTube’s head of content and business operations who was speaking with the Financial Times.
