Over on the forum, I had started the almighty Poison (Jilted) VS Poison (Edit) VS Poison (Radio 1) VS Poison (Science Dub) topic. Here’s what has gone down so far:
Ok, so I’ve started an almighty: Poison (Jilted) VS Poison (Edit) VS Poison (Radio 1) VS Poison (Science Dub) thread.
So let’s rate them from your most favourite 1 to 4…
For years the edit version on the single was my most favourite version. It’s a good length n’ all. However when the Radio 1 edit came out, holy crap this is hands down the best version for me. I absolutely love it. So, here is my rating:

Jilted
Science Dub

Well, if i have to be honest i would say 1.edit, 2.radio 1, 3.jilted, 4. science dub, but if i’m not honest i’ll place edit at third place cos my left side speakers don’t work properly and since the vocals are panned left to right or right to left i can’t hear them good and that’s a downside for me at the moment.

I like a lot radio1 version but the ’95 vers is the real pure old prodigy thing!

The 95 EQ (Edit) is my favourite track of all time!! I quite like the 95 EQ mix on the vinyl aswell.

Antz, you like Jilted over Radio 1? Not that much of a fan of Radio 1?
For me, the Jilted version could have been better like the Edit.

I don’t hate the Radio 1 session but for me Maxim’s vocals don’t sound as powerful (or that good) and the production is just meh. The beat-box-flute is cool though!

Mmm, I feel like the vocals are a bit meaner. Like when Maxim MC’s live. Agree with the production. The beat-box-flute is the best and fits into the track nicely.
Maybe if someone did a mix. Adding the beat-box-flute to the Edit somewhere. Could turn out very well.
