G’day fellow Prodigy Warriors! Little while ago on our Fanboy Facebook Page we asked: How would you change The Prodigy’s first album, The Prodigy Experience:
How would you change The Prodigy’s first album ‘The Prodigy Experience’? For example, I would first change the album cover. Maybe it should have been a live shot of the band with lazers.. since it’s called ‘The Prodigy Experience’. I would also remove: Wind It Up, Charly (Trip Into Drum And Bass Version), Everybody In The Place (155 And Rising) and replace them with Charly (Alley Cat mix), Everybody In The Place (Fairground Edit), Wind It Up (The Rewound Edit). Oh and the original mix of Your Love. Also, I would have not released Fire as a single… and would have chosen Your Love instead.
Here are the replies from some of our fans:
- Angelos Loukatos I would remove the live track ‘death of the prodigy dancers’, change the cover, and I would add pandemonium and g-force on the track list!
- Cassian Baldwin why change a classic ‘rave’ album….would u change dark side of the moon? please! it is what it is; at a time that was then…
- Paul Joseph Cronin same bout fire also my least fav although i still liked it
- Paul Joseph Cronin i totally agree with track changes all of em are better the remix of wind it up is better than original and other origianal’s are better but i quite liked the cover simple but effective but i know where your comin from could have been a take on the jimi hendrix experience still great album though
- Nikole Theprodigy Zero changes, I love it!
- Paul A. Garrity Bonus earlier tracks…’What Evil Lurks’ and ‘Android’
- Luke Douglas Only change I would make is ‘Death of the prodigy dancers’. it should have been the studio version
- Tommi Kolehmainen These new edits were only put on the album because Liam had already released the others (Alley Cat Mix, fairground remix etc) as singles before the album. He didn’t want to give an album almost full of already existing tracks. I like mostly the single versions better but it’s good we have multiple versions to listen. We all have iPods so you can change the best versions to the album (unless you only want to listen to the physical cd copy haha).
- Jasper van Hensbergen The cover was a protest against the rave scène and all the neon colours . Same as the outfit from keith at the out of space clip. So no change in the cover.
- Tom Vandenhove Wind It Up should’ve been the Rewound Edit, Your Love should’ve been the original version and EITP should’ve been the fairground edit. Apart from that nothing needs to be changed imo. For instance Android and We Gonna Rock are brilliant tracks, but they fit better on the EP
- Lorenzo Romero I always skipped Fire’s sunrise version, because I think it has no energy, so definitely replace that with the Burning Version! Keep the rest as it is including cover, I’m not George Lucas
- Étienne le Bon zero changes !
you can listen to it from track 1 till 11, with a live bonus track
The cover is nice and simple, the inlay brilliant and funny, the back shows the band smoking banana skins ^^
